Abstract: SAPO-34 modified with lanthanum and yttrium exhibited higher selectivity to light olefins, lower methane formation, and longer lifetime (prolonged by 20%) than the parent SAPO-34 in the process of methanol conversion to olefins. The modified catalytic performance could be ascribed to the incorporation of La(3+) and Y(3+) into the framework of SAPO-34.
