  • Abstract:

Since joining WTO, FDI has increased sharply in China. Under this situation, it is significantly important to conduct research on the impact of FDI on independent R&D and innovation of Chinese enterprises. Therefore, this paper analyses the influence of FDI on the motivation of independent innovation of Chinese enterprises before and after the entry of FDI by constructing two theoretical models, and following conclusions have been drawn: on one hand, FDI has a certain inhibitory effect on independent innovation of Chinese enterprises; on the other hand, with more and more fierce competition, Chinese enterprises will increasingly tend to realize independent innovation, but it has no relationship with FDI Based on the above analysis, this paper also puts forward suggestions for the government policy.
