Abstract: A new type of dye-sensitized solar cell with a multilayered photoanode is prepared by a simple film-transfer technique. The absorption spectrum is broadened and the photocurrent density is increased. An efficiency of 11.05% is achieved, which is much higher than what has been achieved using other methods under similar conditions.
