Abstract:High thermal resistance resulted by fouling in heat exchanger restricts the application of water source heat pump with once-through water (river water, urban sewage, ground water, seawater, etc). Solid-liquid fluidized bed technique can be used not only to increase convection coefficient, but also to restrict fouling growing. This paper introduces an experimetal study on how to solve the fouling problem (such as fouling prevention and removing, pressure drop, heat transfer, etc). An experimental apparatus of the solid-liquid cycling fluidized bed heat-exchanger (SLCFBE) with testing and analyzing system was built. A solid-liquid segregator was invented specially for the experimental system. The results of experiment can be summarized as follows: (1) the solid-liquid fluidized bed heat exchanger can obtain higher convection coefficient, effectively control fouling and realize on-line cleaning; (2) the pressure drops of SLCFBE is larger than that of conventional heat exchanger.
