Abstract:Patent development is a major indication of scientific and technological creativity. An accurate evaluation of patent development could offer valuable reference to & scientific and technological countermeasure design for the governments. On basis of the appraisal index system of patent development, the author collects the patent development data of the eight economic areas of China in 2005. The osculating value method is utilized to evaluate the patent developments. The evaluating result is also analyzed so as to facilitate scientific and technological development.
