Abstract: The reaction of propylene with H2O2 and CH3OH to prepare propylene monomethyl ether was carried out by using a fixed-bed reactor with TS-1/SiO2 as the catalyst which was prepared by mixing TS-1 as the main catalyst and SiO2 as the support. The effect of reaction conditions on catalytic properties was studied. At 60 C and 3 MPa, H2O2 concentration of 0.85 mole/L, n(C3H6/n(H2O2) of 10:1, total MHSV of 3.36/hr, and linear velocity of 43.74 10-2 m/hr, the selectivity of monomethyl ethers was up to 91.35%, the H2O2 utilization was up to 94.37%, and the conversion of H2O2 and propylene were up to 98.26% and up to 22.24%, respectively.
