Abstract:Titanium substituted silicalite-I (TS-1) samples were synthesized using tetrapropylammonium bromide (TPABr) and ammonia water (NH3 . H2O), TPABr and hexanediamine (HDA), TPABr and n-butylamine (NBA), TPABr and ethylenediamine (EDA), TPABr and diethylamine (DEA), TPABr and triethanolamine (TEA). In these systems, TPA(+) cations serve as templating molecules to direct the structure whilst the organic amine provides the alkalinity necessary for the crystallization. Titanium is incorporated into the framework without extralattice species. In the TPABr and ammonia water system, the influence of synthesis parameters such as crystallization time and temperature, the ratios of SiO2/TiO2 and the ratios of TPA(+)/SiO2 was studied. Moreover, the catalytic and adsorption properties of TS-1 were studied. The results show that TS-1 is active in the hydroxylation of phenol with H2O2 and the adsorption capacities of H2O2, styrene and cyclohexanone on TS-1 are more than those on S-1.
