Abstract:To improve the limitations and reliability of the Train Announcement System, a new model of announcement system with multiple full duplex communications is proposed in this paper. The digital audio transmission is used instead of the traditional analog one in this new model. After analyzing the features and application fields among Multifunction Vehicle Bus (MVB), Lon Works and CAN, the MVB is used as train announcement communication network. The MP3 is used as the digital audio compression algorithm. Finally, the full-duplex Cab-To-Cab announcement based on MVB message communication is realized which has smooth voice and good sound quality. ? 2012 ISSN 1881-803X.
