Abstract:VESTAS and GAMESA are tycoons of global wind power industry, while GOLDWIND is the bellwether of Chinese wind power industry. Based on patent data of Derwent Innovations Index, we made a comparative analysis on regional distribution and technical distribution of patent application between VESTAS, GAMESA and GOLDWIND, using patent analysis method. After identified market strategy of core enterprises and technical trend of wind power industry, we made some suggestions on development of Chinese domestic wind power enterprises. ?2009 IEEE.
