摘要:The yield stress and plastic viscosity are two fundamental parameters for describing the behavior of Self-Compacting Concrete and fiber reinforced Self-Compacting Concrete. Generally, they are calculated from flow curves which are obtained from viscometer or rheometer. Many researchers contend that the slump flow test is a single-point method Practically, the standard slump flow test gives two results, the slump flow diameter and slump flow T(500).
The relationship between slump flow and yield stress has been recognized, which results in the development of simpler test method. Some valuable models, i.e. finite element model and slump model, were derived. The plastic viscosity significantly influences the flow velocity of fresh Self-Compacting Concrete, which can be reflected by T(500).
In this paper, the slump flow of the fresh PP fiber reinforced mortar and steel fiber reinforced Self-Compacting Concrete was studied. A slump flow model was derived. The yield stress and average viscosity was calculated using the measured slump flow and T(500). The results indicted the slump flow test can be used to characterize the rheological properties of fresh SCC.
