Abstract:Aiming at complexity and multiplicity in product design knowledge constraints, a constraint classification strategy is established, and a solving algorithm for knowledge constraint equation group is presented. The algorithm converts nonlinear problem into linear one by simplifying and standardizing equation group, then equation group is solved by Gaussian Main Element Elimination Algorithm and solution is optimized by Simplex Method. The algorithm provides a simple and practical approach to solve knowledge constraints in detail design phase. The paper clarifies how to use the algorithm with an example of the locater in airplane assembly tooling. An intelligent and special design software package is developed and has been applied in aerofoil assembly tooling design. The application proved that design efficiency was improved and percentage of tooling sent back was reduced.
