Abstract:Large water consumption and serious water pollution are prominent problems in dyeing and finishing industrial concentration area. In this paper, a mathematical programming model for water integration is established based on mathematical programming method. The model, with the minimum total annual cost as the objective function, considers the shared treatment facilities characterized by multistage wastewater treatment technology. This model is applied in the design and optimization of the water network of a dyeing and finishing industrial concentration area in northeast China. The optimal water recycling network is obtained under the condition that total annual cost is the lowest and wastewater is discharged with standard level. Thus, the optimal water treatment process and recycling way of treated water with different quality can be determined, which can provide reference for upgrading and reconstruction plan of water treatment facilities in the area. The results indicate that the mathematical model is practical and promising in water use programming and wastewater reduction of the dyeing and finishing industrial concentration area.
