Feature sizing modeling for parametric human body

Abstract: A parametric human body model is presented. Contours of human body are acquired from triangle rnesh model through resampling, consequently a 3D human body model of quadrangle mesh is obtained. Feature lines, such as waistline and chest girth line, are defined in the human body, then a new 3D human body model with given feature sizing parameters can be created through deforming the contours. The deformation algorithm for contours is an energy-based method and allows local sculpturing, which make it possible to create particular physique immediately.
