Experimental and numerical analyses on dynamic properties of materials in shaking table test

摘要:This paper presents a study on the effects of strain rate on two kinds of materials in shaking table test under seismic loading. Firstly, the dynamic compressive tests of microconcrete are undertaken using the large static and dynamic test system under the strain rate (10 ?/s  ?10 ?/s) of seismic action. From the results of the test, Dynamic Increasing Factors (DIF) which are functions of strain rate and quasi-static strength of microconcrete are proposed. Secondly, the dynamic tensile properties of iron wire were also studied under the seismic strain rate. Moreover, DIF are gotten based on the yield and ultimate tensile strength. Finally, considering the strain rate effects of microconcrete and iron wire, the dynamic properties of the two materials are analyzed using dynamic finite element method. For the purpose of illustration, the seismic performance of Reinforced Concrete (RC) frame-wall scale model was investigated by nonlinear time history analytical method using the proposed DIF. The results of this paper may serve as a reference for design of the dynamic scale model. © 2017 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
