摘要：Targeted at the video transmission of multi-vehicles in VANET, an adaptive video rate control method based on available network bandwidth was proposed. In accordance with the current actual available network bandwidth, the source video's bit rate can be adjusted adaptively. When there is enough bandwidth, the source video's bit rate will increase to improve video quality. However, if bandwidth reduces or even gets congested, the source video's bit rate will decrease to avoid congestion, sacrificing the acceptable video quality for the price to ensure the continuity of received video and thus achieving the best of network performance and fairness. Finally, the video transmission system based on IEEE 802.11 was developed and the video transmission experiments of multi-vehicles were conducted.
