Abstract: A modified Boberg&Lantz production model was used to predict heavy oil production for steam-stimulated wells. The maximum total economic benefit was taken into account as an objective function for the steam-stimulated process. The resource assigning method was employed to solve the optimization mathematical model. Optimization results show that this method is effective. Under all physical conditions are not changed, assigning steam mass rate by using this method makes heavy oil production increase, which means higher economical efficiency is obtained for the whole oilfield.
