Abstract:An experimental study on the two-phase injector has been carried out in this paper. The main project was expected that the discharged water pressure could exceed the motive steam pressure, which made such an injector feasible to recalculate the coolant to the generator and replace the mechanical pump in an injector refrigeration system. Compared with previous studies, this paper's biggest difference lies in the pressure which was at rather low stages.
In this paper, the designing procedure and the mathematical method of the experiment were presented. The pressures used in the experiment were: operation pressure: 0.5 MPa similar to 0.6 MPa (ab), suction pressure: 0.1 MPa similar to 0.11 MPa (ab), discharged pressure: 0.3 MPa similar to 0.5 MPa (ab); and the size of all the throats were: nozzle throats: 1.6mm and 3.1mm, mixing chamber throat: 1.6mm and 3.3mm. The steam nozzle was movable to make the distance between the nozzle outlet and the mixing chamber inlet adjustable.
