Abstract:The effects of wind shear and wind shear coefficients on the near wake of WindPACT 1.5 MW wind turbine were investigated.Wind shear coefficients were equal to 0.1,0.2 and 0.3,respectively.The numerical simulation results were obtained using the three-dimensional incompressible RANS equations.The SST k-ω turbulence model was used.The axial interference factor and tangential interference factor were significantly affected by the rotation at the region of the blade near wake.When the air flowed over the blade,there was an obvious velocity deficit at the near wake.This velocity deficit gradually decreased as the air flows downstream.The axial and tangential interference factors were affected by wind shear at the region of the blade near wake.The influence was more obvious as the shear coefficient increases.
