Abstract:The surface soil structure, especially the near top one, affects ground motion characters greatly, which is studied in this paper in detail by equivalent linear method under three typical ground motion inputs with varying peak acceleration amplitudes. The results from 199 soil profile soil responses show the preliminary effect regulation of varying near surface soil structures and shear velocity on ground motion.
