  • Abstract:

    A parametric assembly modeling method based on ANSYS is proposed in this paper, targeting at reducing the complicacy on creating finite element models of the crawler crane boom system. On creating the models of boom parts, their parametric in any case is also obtained according to the above method. The method decreases the duplicating effort and increases the efficiency of design. At the end of the paper, an example is given to validate assembly process in detail.
