Abstract:The paper investigates the methods to present inflow boundary conditions for the simulation of task air conditioning (TAC), i.e. supply opening model. Six usual methods were outlined. For comparison three models were selected to carry out the simulations. In view of the unique feature of TAC, computer-generated boundary conditions were selected. An experimental study was made to validate the simulation results. It is found that computer-generated boundary conditions are superior to other two supply opening models according to TAC. It gives a good description of flow not only in the room but also in the diffuser.
