非牛顿流体在正弦波壁管内的减阻特性

Abstract:It is very significant to effectively reduce the flow resistance by adding polymeric surfactants in water disposing and petroleum industry. In this study, the characteristics of the drag reduction of polyacrylamide (PAM) polymer solution in a sinusoidal wavy-walled tube were conducted. It is found that in the laminar flow region, the PAM polymer solution displays more distinct drag reduction than that in the turbulent flow region. There exists an optimum drag reduction concentration in the wavy-walled tube. It is demonstrated that the transitional flow moves up as the drag reduction compare with the Newtonian fluid. The flow visualization results also confirmed the above conclusions. The numerical simulation results by use the Fluent are in well agreement with the experimental results.
