Abstract:The paper introduced a multi-gaseous system used for preparing nano-TiO2 powders in gas phase, which consists of titanium tetrachloride, O-2 and H-2. Properties of TiO2 ultrafine particles were studied by means of XRD and TEM. The results show that the powders whose shapes are irregular are a mixed crystal of rutile and anatase, and the crystalline size of particles is between 20 nm to 100 nm. It is found that the size of TiO2 crystallite is increased and the ctystalline phase transforms from anatase to rutile with the rise of intial pressure, which are caused by the incease of reaction heat and turbulent flow. At last, the the basic principle of preparing TiO2 nanoparticles by multi-gaseous detonation was discussed.
