Integrated Intelligence of Long Bridge Disaster Prevention and Mitigation by Focusing on Bearing Performance

Abstract:This article starts with a careful discussion about the problems of current research on long bridge existing in the monitoring of operation, the resistance of near field earthquake, and the early warning of risk. And then, in response to these shortcomings, a new concept of integrated intelligence of long bridge disaster prevention and mitigation by centering on bearing performance is presented in this paper. The specific measures of that concept include the following points: (1) designing a new kind of multi-buffering cable-sliding friction aseismic bearing to resist the near field earthquake; (2) developing a new real-timely monitoring bearing combined with new monitoring techniques to achieve bridge monitoring on working condition; (3) establishing a new risk decision cloud management and control system by focusing on bearing performance based on the analysis of the monitoring data. The achievements of this paper will provide the theoretical basis and analysis support for the life-cycle design, the operation and management, especially the disaster prevention and mitigation of long bridges.
