Abstract: As a special application of real-time systems, Wireless Networked Control System (WNCS) is composed of distributed fields and plant devices interconnected via a wireless network and energy management is a key issue. In this paper, we consider a single-hop networked real-time embedded system. In order to maximize the expected total reward of the system, we proposed a genetic algorithm (GA) to get a suitable operating frequency for each probabilistic real-time task. Experiments demonstrate that our scheduling strategy has advantages over non-energy-aware scheduling strategy. Moreover, our scheduling strategy is very efficient for the system with more tasks, probabilistic deadline miss requirements and strict energy consumption budget constraints
