Abstract:Targeted to solve problems including poor biogas production,raw material shortages,poor heat preservation of household biogas digester in the north rural areas of China,two household digester were selected for comparison experiment,one inoculated with rumen bacteria,and another as a control without rumen microbial inoculum.Straw and chicken manure were taken as the main fermentation substrates.The results showed that,the average daily biogas production rate of the control digester was 0.42 m3 · d-1,and the methane content of biogas was 61.56%,while the rumen inoculated digester had a daily biogas production rate of 0.8 m3 · d-1,and the methane content was 65.41%.The rumen inoculated digester also had higher buffer ability to the temperature fluctuation,and its production of reducing sugars and volatile fatty acids during the fermentation process were significantly improved.
