Abstract:To deploy precision assembly equipments quickly for manufacturing with easy implementation of the hardware and software, simple modularized assembly system architecture with functional oriented modules was established on the basis of the developed assembly equipments. The related key technology, including the equipments' system architecture and technological approaches in achieving manipulation and assembly of the parts were summarized. Some of the technological approaches, including machine vision based measurement and handling of the miniature parts, system calibration for precise assembly were described with the functional modules. ? 2013 IEEE.
