Abstract:Bus scheduling is a key issue for bus operators. This paper presents an optimization algorithm for bus scheduling, based on the bus IC data of Dalian bus IC data management center. By introducing an artificial immune algorithm based on information entropy, the optimal or the quasi-optimal solution to this multi-variable and non-linear problem can be found effectively. The experiment results demonstrated that the optimal bus departing intervals under different time periods can be obtained to adjust bus timetable conveniently, which help to adjust bus timetable at a real-time base.
