Research on Cloud-SHM and its applications

摘要:An innovative technique which is called Cloud-structural Health Monitoring (Cloud-SHM) based on smart phone inside sensors and software system is proposed and demonstrated in this paper. Built-in sensors and software developed are integrated in Cloud-SHM system. Cloud- SHM integrated the communication, sensing and computing in smart phone, which is easy to be operated by public, so as to each people can involve the structural health monitoring. Furthermore, a Cloud-SHM website was built to collect and analyze the monitoring data of smart phone, and with the GPS information, the monitoring big data can be obtained, which can realize the quick assessment of the damage. The combination of smart phone and website can realize the update and share of monitoring data, and realize the rapid safety assessment for buildings in disaster zone. Then the application on cable force test, girder hoisting monitoring and displacement mesurement proved that it is one monitoring technique of low cost, increased maneuverability, and shown the great possibility on most widely distributed sensing network establishment. ? 2015, International Society for Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure, ISHMII.
