Abstract: This paper deals with the problem of guaranteed cost control for a class of switched systems with affine vector fields by using multiple Lyapunov function method. The multiple Lyapunov function (MLF) is constructed from a set of auxiliary function having quadratic and linear terms for each subsystem of the switched systems. By using such an MLF, a switching rule is determined to enforce the state of the switched systems to a desired equilibrium point and make a guaranteed cost performance hold. Sufficient conditions for the existence of such a switching rule are also given in form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally,the method is applied to a boost converter. ? 2012 ISSN 2185-2766.
