Abstract:More and more research focused on multi-channel protocol has been done in recent years, but few are based on IEEE 802.15.4. A dynamic energy efficient multichannel protocol (DEEMP) based on IEEE 802.15.4 is proposed in this paper. The channel is assigned based on channel quality and dropping packet ratio. The conflict on data transmission is avoided effectively and the network capacity is improved. The DEEMP protocol and GTS allocation mechanism are implemented in NS2 simulator. The simulation results show that the throughput and saving energy consumption compared with existing standards have greatly improved. ? 2012 ICIC International.
