Abstract:Present researches indicate that personalized ventilation system (PVS) can improve human thermal comfort effectively. However, in the non-uniform environment, thermal sensation of people is different in each part. So the research on how to describe human thermal sensation in that condition seems very important. According to the human body heat transfer equilibrium equation which describes human physical constitution and energy balance as well as the control system which describes human thermoregulation system, this paper establishes human thermoregulation system mathematical model in the non-uniform environment. In consideration of the asymmetry distribution of human physiological and thermal physical parameters, this model divided human body into different segments axially. Different segment has different thermal physiological and heat conduction characteristic. This paper calculates the head skin temperature by simplifying this model. Other segment skin temperatures can also be calculated in accordance with the above manner. Therefore human thermal sensation in the non-uniform environment can be predicted by taking skin temperature into thermal comfort model.
