Abstract: This paper proposed a novel continuous-controlset model predictive control (CCS-MPC) method with power flow control and maximum efficiency point tracking (MEPT) for a bidirectional wireless power transfer (BWPT) system in electric vehicle (EV) applications. The proposed method use a resonant circuit model to predict the optimal control degrees of freedom. In comparison with widely-used PI controller, the proposed method has a much faster dynamic response. In comparison with the existing CCS-MPC method, the proposed method has an increased system efficiency.
