摘要:Study on treatment of emulsion wastewater using chemical flocculation and activated carbon adsorption under microwave irradiation is presented in this paper. The stabilities of the simulated emulsion wastewater with various concentrations were estimated using UV-vis absorbance and zeta potential. After Fe-2(SO4)(3) of 25 mg was added into a 100 mL emulsion wastewater with 2,500 mg/L, followed with microwave irradiation of 850 W for 80s and sedimentation time of 0.5h, its oil removal reached above 85%. Compared with conventional flocculation and conventional heating assisted flocculation, this microwave assisted flocculation evidently reduced the dosage of flocculant and the sedimentation time. At the optimum pH of 5.1, the dosage was minimum. In the case of relatively low concentration of emulsion wastewater, granular activated carbon in stead of Fe2(SO4)3, had better function to demulsify under microwave irradiation. The oil removal was up to above 90% in an emulsion wastewater with 1,000 mg/L. Low microwave power in a certain extent and long irradiation time help to demulsification. Treatment of an emulsion wastewater from mechanical industry using this process showed that CODCr and oil were almost completely removed, as well as its biodegradability increased from 0.004 to 0.215.
