Abstract:Generator pedestal is the main member supporting hydraulic turbine generator unit, whose stiffness plays a decisive effect on the operation stability of hydroelectric sets. In combination with practice of Pushihe Pumped Storage Station, a three-dimension model of the whole hydropower house including the generator pedestal structure is created and the static and dynamic stiffness of the generator pedestal are checked. The results indicate that both the static stiffness and the dynamic stiffness of generator pedestal structure can meet the design requirements. The results also show that the dynamic stiffness value and the relative relationship among static stiffness, dynamic stiffness and the load combinations inducing the maximum dynamic displacement (or the minimum dynamic stiffness) vary with load frequency without exception. It proves that the dynamic stiffness of generator pedestal is closely related with the load frequency, and review on the dynamic stiffness of generator pedestal is necessary.
