Abstract:This paper describes the results of top 5 economists from ESI database using six different counting approaches-i. e. , fraction-al counting, harmonic counting, Arithmetic counting. The data of total citation, citation per paper, and sum of papers are reevaluated. Findings show that the other three counting approaches result in observable differences in total citation ranks except harmonic counting, which agrees with a FLAE counting. From the perspective of citation per paper, the results of these six counting methods are the same.
