Abstract: A hexanuclear gadolinium octahedral nanocage was self-assembled as an efficient multimeric magnetic resonance probe for selectively responding glucosamine. The rigid facial bridging ligands provided additional enhancements for the proton relativity around gadolinium ions, ensuring the application of MRI in vivo.
