Abstract: The STI (speech transmission index) and SII (speech intelligibility index) are the two primary objective rating metrics for speech intelligibility. The differences between their calculation models and measured data are examined in this study, and the results show that there is no fundamental difference between them, except those caused due to the different calculation models. Therefore, both STI and SII can be used as objective rating methods for speech intelligibility.

Prev One:Experimental comparison between direct and indirect measurement methods for the objective rating of speech intelligibility

Next One:A note on determining the modulation transfer functions for narrow bands
