Abstract:The hot stamping process of high-strength steel sheet is complicated and the forming quality of sheet metal is affected by many factors, so it is necessary to simulate the hot forming process with Finite Element method and grasp the influence of process parameters on forming quality. We had the simulation for the reinforcement beam of a B pillar based on elastic-plastic finite element model of thermal-mechanical coupling, had the analysis for the influences of process parameters on forming quality, and got the forming simulation results with different forming temperature, different forming rate, different friction coefficient and different BHF. According the analysis for the forming factors, it can help to get suitable process parameters, and we had the final simulation and experiment for the reinforcement beam of B pillar, and got the satisfactory forming results. The application of forming simulation method and the analysis of influence factors play the guiding role for formulating the hot stamping process for high-strength steel sheet and can save time and costs.
