Abstract:Informationization has become one of the driving forces of the development: of enterpri- ses. In order to improve enterprise competitiveness, advanced information technology is applied in its management process, which decreases costs and increases the enterprise profits. However, informatization not only means the application of information technology tools, but is also an organizational transformation. Based on the Adaptive Structuration Theory (AST), this case study examines the planning and evaluation of the video conference system in Liaohe Oilfield Communications Company. It finds that the nature of information system selection and implementation process is structured process between information technology, external structure source and the internal structure source, so the organization must establish corresponding structure, institution and culture to the information system. This study may provide useful references for relevant enterprises and researchers.
