Abstract: Because of its extremely good performance, super-hydrophobic surface has promising prospect in naval architecture and ocean engineering. However, this surface cannot be widely used due to its complicated and costly preparing process. In this paper, a new preparation method of super-hydrophobic Ni-nSiO2composite plating on Q235 steel surface is proposed. Based on the theory of nanoparticles composite electro-deposition, composite electroplating and composite bush electroplating, appropriate binary micro-nano rough structures on the substrate are constructed to achieve the super-hydrophobic performance. A set of main technical parameters also have been studied to get the optimum process parameters by orthogonal test. Finally, the super-hydrophobic surface with 159.96°contact angle and simple preparing processing is prepared successfully.
