Abstract: A new nonconforming brick element is introduced, which only has 13 DOFs locally and takes P-2 circle plus Span {x(1)(3); x(2)(3),; x(3)(3)} as its shape functions space. The vector-valued version generates, together with a discontinuous P-1 approximation, an inf-sup stable finite element pair of order 2 for the Stokes problem in the energy norm.
