Abstract:We examine the method of Cartesian product to construct cubature formulae on the unit sphere and obtain a kind of new Lobatto formulae. Furthermore. by constraining nodes to lie on orthogonal polynomials, an alternative method of producing new cubature formulae on the spherically symmetrical region is also presented.
