Abstract:A new Anderson-anion-templated inorganic-organic hybrid compound, H[(bitdc)Ni(H2O)(3)](2)[IMo6O24]center dot 6H(2)O (1) (bitdc = N,N'-bis(isonicotinoyl)-trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, TG analysis, Powder XRD and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 is made up of Anderson-type polyoxoanions [IMo6O24](5-) and dinuclear [(bitdc)(2)Ni-2(H2O)(6)](4+) coordination complexes to yield an intriguing 3D supramolecular host-guest structure. To our best knowledge, compound 1 represents the first example of host-guest compounds with Anderson anions as template. The photocatalytic properties and magnetic properties of 1 have been investigated. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Profile

In 2002, Prof. Haiyan An received the B.S. degree in chemistry Northeast Normal University, Changchun, China; the M.S. in 2004 and the Ph.D. degree in 2007 in Key Laboratory of Polyoxometalates (POMs) Science of Ministry of Education. There were 30 papers published in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Inorg. Chem., Cryst. Growth Des., etc. during the degree. In 2006, she was awarded the Excellent Doctoral Dissertations Fund of Northeast Normal University. In July 2007, Prof. An joined College of Chemistry, Dalian University of Technology in the field of POMs. Her research interests are mainly focuse on the design, synthesis and properties’research of POM-based functional complexes with catalytic and drug activity. She has Undertaked two National Natural Science Foundation of China, one Specialized Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education, one Natural Science foundation of Liaoning Province and one Scientific Research Foundation for Doctor of Liaoning Province. There are more than 30 SCI papers have been officially published in foreign periodicals during the work period, more than 20 of which list her as the first author and corresponding author.
