Abstract:The hydrothermal reaction of Co(II)/Cu(II), 5-hydroxyisophthalic acid and dipyridophenazine leads to the generation of two 3D chiral coordination polymers, [M(hip)(DPPZ)](n) (M = Co(1), Cu(2), H(2)hip = 5-hydroxyisophthalic acid, DPPZ = dipyridophenazine), which contain M-hip-M helical chains (M = Co, Cu) and possess a new four-connected 6(6) topological net. The resulting crystals were not a racemic mixture but an enantiomeric excess, which was confirmed by the measurement of optical rotation of the bulk samples using solid state vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) and solid circular dichroism (CD) based on the large crystals from one crystallization. The magnetic properties of 1 and 2 have been investigated by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility and magnetization measurements, and the results reveal that antiferromagnetic interactions exist in 1 and 2.

Pre One:3D pillar-layered coordination polymers based on 4d-4f heterometallic assembly

Next One:Self-assembly of polyoxometalate clusters and metal-organic coordination fragments into 1D homochiral chains

Profile

In 2002, Prof. Haiyan An received the B.S. degree in chemistry Northeast Normal University, Changchun, China; the M.S. in 2004 and the Ph.D. degree in 2007 in Key Laboratory of Polyoxometalates (POMs) Science of Ministry of Education. There were 30 papers published in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Inorg. Chem., Cryst. Growth Des., etc. during the degree. In 2006, she was awarded the Excellent Doctoral Dissertations Fund of Northeast Normal University. In July 2007, Prof. An joined College of Chemistry, Dalian University of Technology in the field of POMs. Her research interests are mainly focuse on the design, synthesis and properties’research of POM-based functional complexes with catalytic and drug activity. She has Undertaked two National Natural Science Foundation of China, one Specialized Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education, one Natural Science foundation of Liaoning Province and one Scientific Research Foundation for Doctor of Liaoning Province. There are more than 30 SCI papers have been officially published in foreign periodicals during the work period, more than 20 of which list her as the first author and corresponding author.
