Steel reinforced concrete structures dynamic damage monitoring using guided wave testing technique

Abstract:The base theory and principle of ultrasonic guided waves was briefly presented. By using finite element analysis program ANSYS to establish the steel model, and imposed excitation load on the terminal of the steel, to simulate the spread of ultrasonic guided waves and the reflected echo of defects. Through the analysis of the received signal, we could find the position accurately, and systematic analysis of the depth factor and axial length factor. The result of simulation was proved by experiment, The results obtained by numerical simulation agree well with that of experiments previously conducted by former investigators. ? 2013 Taylor & Francis Group.
