Abstract:In order to study polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber concrete temperature fatigue damage evolution law, the acoustic emission (AE) monitoring technique was proposed. Through temperature fatigue tests, the PVA fiber concrete damage AE feature signals were obtained. According to the correlation diagram of AE counting and energy, (PVA) fibers of varying content were used as reinforcement in concrete slabs and their influence on the damage evolution and the AE activity was investigated. At last, the clearance factor evaluation criterion of AE signal was used to assess the damage of concrete specimen. Furthermore, Kurtosis index and b value of AE signal were computed. It was shown that temperature fatigue damage of PVA fiber concrete has three obvious stages.
