Abstract:Purpose: to justify whether the design of seismic-force-resisting system of a high-rise building is accordance with the relevant code when the structure under frequently earthquake motion. Method: the major software for analyzing is SATWE while the MIDAS Building is applied as assisted software to check the result. A response spectrum method, which has considered the coupled torsion, accident eccentricity and the bi-directional earthquake ground motions is applied for calculating the earthquake action. The various modes are combined by the CQC method. Result: the result of the elastic analysis of this super high-rise structure has satisfied the requirements of relevant Code. Conclusion: the mathematical structure module is accordance with the actual working situation. The mass of story is varied uniformly along the vertical direction. The lateral stiffness, the lateral shear stiffness capacity, the period, the story drift is all satisfying the requirements of the code. The seismic shear force of the frame has been appropriately adjusted.
