Abstract:According to the main functions of the floating nuclear power platform and the external environmental conditions, the basic form of the platform was determined, and the optimal design of the mooring system was carried out. Different from previous studies, due to the particularity of the sea conditions, in addition to considering the effects of wind, wave and current, a discrete unit model of sea ice was constructed to simulate the interaction process between sea ice and marine mooring structures with Sdem. On this basis, combined with the secondary development function of the mooring analysis software ANSYS-AQWA, the time domain coupling analysis of the platform motion and its mooring system was carried out to study the motion response of the platform under different environmental loads. The mooring parameters were studied and the regularities were analyzed. Finally, a mooring scheme that satisfied the requirements of the specification and had excellent performance was proposed. The research results show that the mooring system of the floating nuclear power platform can resist the effect of harsh environmental conditions. By choosing the mooring parameters reasonably, such as the number of mooring lines, the angle of the cable, the pre-tension and the tip angle, the motion response of the platform can be reduced. © 2021, Editorial Board of Journal of Ship Mechanics.
