Abstract:Considering measures of energy efficiency in the design stage of architectural scheme is the important link of decreasing building energy consumption. For a long time, equipment engineer has no opportunity to participate in the energy efficiency design of architectural scheme which lead to the waste of energy and resources because of the improper building design in China. Based on this phenomenon, the united graduation project between students of HVAC and those of architect in Dalian university of technology was held to realize the harmonious unity of the consideration about the art and energy efficiency in architecture by using the solar energy and minimizing the index of heat loss of building during the design phase of the architecture. The design teams were divided into 3 groups, each of which contained two majors. In order to reduce energy consumption as much as possible, the shape coefficient and index of heat loss of building of each scheme are calculated and adjusted respectively in the three phases of general layout design, preliminary design of monomer scheme and perfect design of monomer scheme. Comparing all buildings integrated solar air collectors of technical and economic analysis, an optimization design scheme is given. A beneficial exploration of the energy efficiency design is realized between architect and energy environment engineer. Copyright ? (2009) by the International Solar Energy Society.
